And end to parties on Koh Phangan?
I came across an interesting article in the Bangkok Post today, it slams Koh Phangan as a haven of drug abuse and drug related crime. It also criticises the party scene on the island and pretty much says it should all be stopped and stopped right now.
I know we have our problems here but it is in no way as bad as he news article makes out, personally I couldn’t give a darn about the parties being stopped, I’ve had enough of them anyway. But it would be rather harsh on a vast number of people who live here, both Thai and Farang, who earn their living either supplying the parties or from the flock of young tourists who visit the island to attend them.
We have heard noises like this made before although this one carries a little more weight as some of it comes directly from a high ranking policeman. I guess time will tell. I can’t imagine what Koh Phangan would be like with the Full Moon Party?
