Too many problems

Freelancing, Health, Home Life, Parenting, Technology, Work July 14th, 2008

Why do problems never happen singularly? Just like the old adage about buses in the UK, you don’t see any for a long time, then three come along at once.

Well the last week has seen my three buses arrive in quick succession. Firstly I am snowed under with work right now, not a problem in itself, but definitely a problem when considered as part of the overall situation. Secondly, Nuth has been sick, meaning I have had to take care of Leon, no time for work, anyone who thinks you can take care of a baby and still get a full days work in is living on a different planet. Lastly, the Internet in the apartment building has been terrible lately, most of the time it is unusable. So between looking after Leon, and a dodgy Internet connection, I have managed to dig myself in to quite a hole with a huge backlog of work. This week I am going to need to put in something like 60 hours just to catch up! Oh well, fingers crossed I can clear my desk by the end of the week and take a couple of days off.

Another video of Leon

Home Life, Koh Phangan, Parenting May 18th, 2008

This is for my mother, who is currently at my step sisters place, waiting for me to upload this video, so Hello Mum!

This video of Leon was taken when he was a couple of months old, just after bath time, at our old place on Koh Phangan.

Leon just born!

Happy, Health, Home Life, Parenting, Surin May 13th, 2008

I was going through some of the old movies I took with my mobile phone and found this short clip I took of Leon when he was only a few hours old. This video was taken in the hospital in Surin, and I have to say, the service from this hospital was superb, ok it was a private hospital so you expect a decent level of service, but it was far from the most expensive private hospital.

I can’t believe how small he looks in that video, it makes him look like a giant now!

How do you put a baby to sleep?

Home Life, Parenting January 25th, 2008

Young Leon has been somewhat demanding today, he woke up very early, abut 30 minutes after I had started work at around 7am. Nuth woke up at the same time and we decided we may as well go out for breakfast today. So Nuth gave Leon a bath very early, about 4 hours earlier than normal to be more exact.

So we went out for breakfast at about 9:£0am, no problems, Leon did his usual trick of playing up to all the people in the restaurant, so much so that the owner whisked him away to take care of him while we ate.

The problems didn’t start until we got home, usually if we have been out, Leon falls asleep in the downstairs hammock as soon as we get home, however, today he didn’t.

He has been awake all day, demanding attention, if we put him down for 5 seconds he cries, so we have to pick him up again, it’s now 7:30pm and Nuth is still trying to get him to go to sleep!
