I’m actually starting a software project, not a web based software project but real software! I can’t remember the last time I did something that didn’t end up being served through a web browser.

Ok this project is still web related in a way and will have a browser window within the application but it’s predominantly windows OS code, real software with all the bells and whistles.

I’m really looking forward to it, especially as the end product is something saleable (I hope), I’ll have Zab helping me out with it, I’m allocating 2 weeks, 4 man weeks between us… Continue reading →

The insurance company that I used when I shipped my goods from the UK to Thailand have just contacted me. They sent me a list of what was covered and what was not covered. It seems that two little words have cost me a fortune. Why did I write ‘sundry items’ on that bloody box? It turns out that unless the item was actually named (how the fuck can you name every item inside 4 tea chests on the single sheet of paper they supply you?) they will not pay out for it.

I remember years ago thinking one day I want to live on a paradise island, I want to be working for myself just using a laptop for a few hours a day.

I’ve been really lazy in marketing my SEO company, I’ve gotten too side tracked by other work, this is a little silly really as SEO work pays better than most of the work I’m doing at the moment.

I woke up this morning, well actually this afternoon as I was working until 4am last night and wondered where the cat was? Then I remembered, he doesn’t live here anymore! That’s right, we only had him for one day.
